A Pictorial Indictment of Watchtower’s Shunning Policy

Few stories had the impact that Rick Gonzalez’s Shameful Shunning in a Thousands Words had in 2013. It’s a timeless story and a priceless picture that needs to be shared again and again. Or least until Watchtower stops its mandated Talmud-like shunning policy. You can access the story at:   https://www.aawa.co/blog/shameful-shunning-in-a-thousand-words/

A Pictorial Indictment of Watchtower’s Shunning Policy — 5 Comments

  1. I have three brothers that shun some or all of their children. Two nieces were put out of their houses in their teenage years. One was not allowed to be with her dying mother. My oldest brother was shunned from the time he was 15 years of age until his death at 74 years just last year. The public needs to be informed of this,

  2. Thanks for sharing your story, Daniel. We are currently assisting with a major law suit to address this barbaric practice and policy in a court of law.

  3. I think that shunning is used as a coercion and is a form of slavery that really violates the anti-slavery laws after Abraham Lincolns time. One of my nieces was destroyed by this practice. She is a homeless person to this day. She was never even ever baptized, but an announcement was made when she was 15 years old and subsequently the shunning began. My wife has a letter from her daughter that says she is shunning her because of the regions requirement. I was an elder and a pioneer for several years mostly in North Dakota. I know of sexual abuse of children in North Dakota and Oregon that was never reported to the authorities. Some was covered up and one little girl could not produce the required 2 witnesses the elders needed in order to act. Fortunately this young girls schoolteacher believed her and this man a former friend, went to jail. I wish you the very best and I do think informing the public is the best approach. Confronting the Witnesses is in my view mostly wasted effort because as I once was so utterly controlled, they are also controlled. Thank you.

  4. I appreciate and and am hopeful in your assisting with a major law suit addressing this horrific, devastating practice of shunning in the WT organization. May it be stopped soon for relief to shunned and those controlled to practice shunning. Thank you all part for your efforts.

  5. Law Suit to address the Shunning policy of Jw.org? Wow…and yay! Smoke out those controlling and abusive suckers…GB of JW. org! All the best in this regards as well as all others uncovering them for what they are and what they do! Bring it out into public view! Thanx to all. 🙂
