What are AAWA’s guidelines for posting comments and responses to comments?

- Be courteous and respectful toward the author of the post/page.
- Be courteous and respectful toward those who have already commented on the post/page.
- Limit your comments to a maximum of 300 words.
- Limit your use of expletives (bad words) and sexual references.
- Structure your critiques and admonitions to be constructive, reasonable and understandable.
- Use common words and phrases that are recognizable to a vast majority of readers.
- Provide links (maximum=2) back to other sites or resources you are quoting.
Thou shall not…
- Be a comment “troll” or “hijacker.” Don’t keep repeating a complaint or criticism within the same thread.
- Post an off-topic comment that is irrelevant to the ongoing discussion.
- Use multiple identities when posting. Do that and you will be banned.
- Use ad hominems to try to win an argument. If you don’t know what those are, look the phrase up here in Wikipedia.
- Copy and paste text from Watchtower publications to prove your point. That is pointless…
- Copy and paste text from other websites or books. That is plagiarism…
- Repeat slanderous claims against individuals or groups, whether or not related to AAWA…
- Reveal personal names, locations, telephone numbers, email addresses whether intended for a favorable or negative outcome…
- Post more than two links to other websites – especially commercial sites. That is spamming…
- Bring your personal battles from other discussion forums to AAWA.co.
- Use bad language, epithets, or sexual references to support your positions. You will lose every time. The Webmaster guarantees it…
- Call the webmaster bad names while pleading to have your account or access to AAWA.co restored. That will definitely not help you. Bottom-line: Bad behavior and abusive language will not be tolerated or rewarded…
